Reset PROXKey Token
Unlock a ProxKey token that's locked after too many wrong PIN attempts. There's nothing to post: we work from the serial number printed on your token.
Buy NowProxKey PIN reset
A ProxKey token asks for your PIN before anyone can use the certificate on it. Enter the wrong PIN too many times and the token locks itself. We unlock it with a code generated from the token's serial number, so you can set a new PIN.
How it works
- Find your serial number. It's laser-printed on the token and usually starts with letters such as SPG.
- Pay and enter the serial number. Use the Buy now button above; the form asks for the serial number.
- Get your unlock code. We generate the code for that serial number and share it with you, along with the steps for your token.
- Set a new PIN. Enter the unlock code, choose a new PIN and keep it somewhere safe.
Older CSP 1.0 tokens
A CSP 1.0 PROXKey token has to be upgraded to the newest CSP version before it can be unlocked. You can apply for a CSP upgrade here, then follow the steps above.
Upgrading the CSP version can remove the digital signature certificate stored on the token. Some certifying authorities let you download the certificate again. If you're unsure, call us on 1800 890 4841 before you start.

Avoid locking it again
- Use a PIN you'll remember, 6 to 32 letters or numbers long.
- Change your PIN any time from the ProxKey tool. You'll need the current PIN to do it.
- If a PIN is rejected twice, stop and check it rather than guessing again.
